It begins like this

A far off glimmer in the night sky

A comet crashing through space

Maybe you make an impossible wish

Then you forget about it for years

Life drifts and drones on

It gets harder to see yourself in the mirror

One unsuspecting day

that same meteor bursts through the atmosphere and straight into your heart

You catch fire

You start to run and run

Not to put it out but to keep it going

It burns, it hurts, it tears,

but finally finally

You feel something again
